HOTELS’ INITIATIVE PROMOTES A “HIDDEN” PART OF MALLORCA

New hotel association offers a varitey of rural properties in a spectacular unspoilt setting on the northwest of the island.

Visitors looking for a peaceful and traditional part of Mallorca can now sample the facilities of seven small rural hotels in the hamlet of Binibona, located at the north western range of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, close to the villages of Caimari and Moscari. These hotels have formed their own asociation to promotie their individual facilities in this relatively undiscovered part of the island.

All the hotels, the largest of which has 12 rooms the smallest has 5, are located in historic buildings and although they have all been modernised to provide quality accommodation and modern amenities, they still retain their individual character and charm in traditional Mallorcan style.

Personal service is a key factor in this association, called “Som 7Hotels”. All the hotels are family run, which adds a warm, intimate atmosphere to each property. Nothing is too much bother for their guests, to the extent that they are able to pool all their resources and offer a wide range of exciting activities from ballooning & helicopter rides to sea fishing (on a genuine commercial fishing boat) to horse riding, cycling, bird watching and, of course, walking in the surrounding countryside.

Another bonus is that clients can use the dining facilities of any of the hotels within the group enabling them to sample a wide range of cuisine in different settings.
