MORE MICHELIN STARS IN MALLORCA
Latest Michelin Star awarded to British-owned Read's Hotel
Mallorca, one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations, is now being recognised for fine dining. Six establishments on the island already have Michelin Stars and now the latest Michelin Star has been awarded to, British owned, Read’s Hotel in Santa Maria, which is located approximately 20 minutes from the capital city of Palma.
The Read’s Restaurant is run by Head Chef/Director, Marc Fosh, who has been working at the hotel since it opened just over seven years ago. During that time he has built up an excellent reputation for his cuisine.
Read’s Hotel join six other establishments on Mallorca, which have been awarded the coveted Michelin Star. They are:
Tristan’s Restaurant, Puerto Portals (two stars)
Plat D’Or Restaurant, Hotel Arabella Sheraton, Son Vida (one star)
Koldo Royo, Palma (one star)
Ses Rotges, Cala Ratjada (one star)
Ca’s Pues, Soller (one star)
Es Racó d'Es Teix, Deià (one star)
Tomeu Deya, Manager of the Mallorca Tourist Board, says; “Mallorca is now steadily gaining a reputation for fine dining featuring an excellent variety of quality restaurants. We are delighted that the Michelin Guide has recognised the culinary talent we have to offer on the island”.
