FESTIVE SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA IN MALLORCA

As one of the top shopping destinations in the Mediterranean, Palma gears up for the festive season. Plus new shopping guide to the island is launched ...

A full programme of activities on Friday and Saturday afternoons, from November 25th through to January 7th, 2006, will focus on the main shopping streets of the island’s capital of Palma and is sure to put shoppers in the festive mood. The programme features children’s entertainers, classical music, various attractions including two wheels of fortune and a children’s train which will traverse Palma’s shopping centre.

In addition, the local chamber of commerce, in conjunction with all the main retailing associations, has combined forces to produce a definitive guide to shopping on the island.

It features 229 different shops and boutiques that will offer 10 – 20% discount to customers using the guide, which also includes valuable general, cultural and tourism information on the island.

The new shopping guide is free to visitors and will be distributed via main tour operators and can also be obtained in all local tourist offices throughout Mallorca.
