PALMA'S FIRST INTERNATIONAL ART WEEK - 17 - 23 SEPTEMBER.

This September Palma will host three major art events in and around the city:The Nit de L'Art, Art Cologne and JAM Art

This September the art world will meet in Palma de Mallorca during its first international art week (September 17th – 23rd) when it will host two international art fairs; Art Cologne, which is the first time this event is being held outside Germany, and a brand new art fair showcasing new artists, JAM Art (September 19-23rd). All this activity will converge with Palma’s own very special art night called “Nit de L’Art” on Thursday, September 20th.

The “Nit de L’Art” has gained popularity over the last few years as more galleries and art institutions have become involved and is now an established event in Palma’s social and cultural calendar. This year, the “Nit de L’Art” will be one of the highlights of an intense week of art activity in the city when private collectors will open their doors to show off their hippest jewels.

In addition, there will be street exhibitions and independent artist performances in public areas of the city. Palma is now reputed to have, not only the highest number of spaces dedicated to showcasing contemporary arts per capita, but also boasts one of the most dynamic art markets in Spain.
