NEW TAPAS TRAILS IN PALMA DE MALLORCA
Now visitors can stroll around Palma and sample popular tapas dishes during the special "TAPALMA" event, 10 - 14 October, 2007.
A celebration of the popular Spanish concept tapas “snacks” has been organised by The Restaurateurs Association of Mallorca in Palma over the past two years. However, this year the organisation “TAPALMA”, has decided to broaden the appeal of this successful event and provide visitors with four different routes for “tapas trails” around Palma.
The event, which starts on Wednesday, October 10th through to Sunday, October 14th, will feature over 40 establishments on four different routes taking in Palma’s old town, Santa Catalina (around the old market), the area around Plaza de España and the fashionable harbour area of El Molinar.
Each participating bar and restaurant will feature at least two prize tapas dishes for the cost of 2 euros each. The participating establishments will offer a range of tapas featuring traditional regional Spanish recipes and flavours to the more innovative. Maps indicating participating restaurants and location will be available from hotels and tourist information offices. Further information:
