CONDÉ NAST NOMINATE TWO MALLORCAN HOTELS FOR EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Out of 14 nominated hotels in Spain, Mallorcan hotels have been nominated twice in these prestigious awards.

The Hotel Aimia in Puerto Soller (north west coast) together with the Porto Petro Beach Resort Hotel in Porto Petro (east coast) have been nominated for Condé Nast Johansens’ forthcoming Excellence Awards for 2008, which will be held at the Hotel Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London on November 12th.

The Hotel Aimia has been nominated as one of four contenders in the Most Excellent European Value for Money Award category and the Porto Petro Beach Resort has been nominated in the best resort hotel category.

Earlier this year, Condé Nast Traveller Magazine awarded La Residencia hotel in Deia, second place in the list of Best Leisure Hotels in Europe, Asia Minor and the Russian Federation.

Says Tomeu Deya, Manager of the Mallorca Tourist Board; “These nominations demonstrate the range and quality of hotel accommodation now available on Mallorca which is increasingly being recognised within the international arena”.
