FOUR MICHELIN STARS FOR MALLORCA IN 2011
Mallorca, one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations, continues to be recognised for fine dining.
In the latest edition of the Michelin Guide, three establishments on the island have retained their stars and the Zaranda Sa Torre restaurant has been awarded for the first time.

Chef Fernando Peréz Arellano established the Zaranda restaurant in Madrid in 2005 where he won a Michelin star in 2006. Earlier this year he agreed to move the entire restaurant team to Mallorca to the luxury Hilton Sa Torre Hotel and Spa and establish the Zaranda Sa Torre. Arellano’s concept is to incorporate the very best Mallorcan local produce on the menu whilst continuing to develop dishes that clients will enjoy in a welcoming atmosphere.

Es Moli d’en Bou
Mallorcan Chef, Tomeu Caldentey, opened this restaurant in 2000 and was awarded a Michelin star in 2004. His philosophy is to offer creative and simple cuisine based on traditional Mallorcan recipes with a contemporary spin using fresh, seasonal produce. Es Raco d’es Teix
At the foot of the Teix mountain in the picturesque village of Deiŕ, Chef Josef Sauerschell, has created menus based on clean and distinctive flavours, where the focus is on the classical Mediterranean kitchen with a modern twist.
